2025 Marching Cats Summer Rehearsal Schedule

Summer sessions begin on Tuesday, June 10

Pre-Drill begins on Monday, July 21
Marching Cats summer rehearsals provide students the opportunity to continue their development of marching skills and music preparation.
All rehearsals are vital and important to the success of the Marching Cats. ​
Summer Sessions

10 sessions total
-
All students must attend at least 6 of the 10 sessions

Auxiliary members please refer to specific dates for dance and flag preparation
June 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26
6 - 8 PM at Valdosta High School

July 8, 10, 15, 17

Pre-Drill
-
Attendance at all pre-drill rehearsals is mandatory.
-
Students that do not attend will be alternates and will not perform for the first 3 games of the season.
July 21 - 25, Monday - Friday
July 28 - 30, Monday - Wednesday
5 - 9 PM at Valdosta High School ​

What You Need For Summer Sessions & Pre-Drill

Good Attitude - Come expecting to learn something new in each rehearsal

Comfortable clothing – sweats, shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, in Valdosta colors
​
Water/Hydration
Bottled water will be provided at each rehearsal.
Students may also bring their own water bottles or jugs from home. Please make sure your name is on your water jug if you decide to bring one.
Rehearsal Dismissal
There will be no “gathering up” in the parking lot. Please go straight to your vehicles and leave campus.
​
Working Instrument
Wind players should have all accessories (mouthpiece, reeds, valve oil, etc.)
Percussion will only need their mallets and straps.
