What is Spring Camp?

• Spring Camp is the official start of the VHS Marching Band Season. 

• We use it as a tool to sharpen the music and marching skills of our band members. 

• It is an important tool for returning as well as new band members. 

• No experience is necessary to participate.

• Students that plan to be in the 2026 - 2027 VHS Marching Cats must attend Spring Camp. 

 

What do I need for Spring Camp?

• A good attitude - Come prepared to learn something new at each rehearsal. 

• Comfortable clothing in VHS colors – sweats, shorts, t-shirt, & sneakers.

 

Is there a cost?

• The Spring Camp fee is $100.

• The fee covers the deposit for the 2026 band dues as well as the band t-shirt.

• Fees are due on or before April 15.

 

What are the dates and times?

• There will be a very important parent meeting at Valdosta High School on Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 PM.

• Spring Camp rehearsals will begin Monday, April 27 – Thursday, April 30.

• Rehearsals are from 3:45 – 6:30 PM.

• All rehearsals will take place at Valdosta High School.

• Transportation will be provided to Valdosta High School from Newbern Middle, Valdosta Middle, and VECA daily.

• Parents should be ready to pick up students promptly from Valdosta High School each day at 6:30 PM.

• We will have the Spring Jamboree Performance on THursday, April 30 in the Valdosta High School Gym.
